Amazon private label packaging should be planned before the product leaves China. The product box, insert, barcode area, packing steps and export carton details all affect how cleanly the shipment moves to a warehouse, freight forwarder or FBA route.
Send product photos, size, weight, quantity, artwork stage, supplier location and label requirements before asking for a packaging quote.

Packaging checklist
| Item | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Product box style | Folding carton, mailer box, sleeve, rigid box or gift box |
| Product fit | Product size, weight, protection need and insert layout |
| Artwork | Logo files, dieline status, colors and finish effects |
| Barcode area | UPC, FNSKU, SKU sticker or warning label space |
| Inner packing | Cards, labels, inserts, bags, sleeves or set grouping |
| Export carton | Units per carton, carton count, carton size and gross weight |
| Handoff route | China supplier, warehouse, freight forwarder or FBA route |
Before sampling
Decide whether the product factory will pack the goods, or whether the products should be sent to a separate packing point in China. This changes how the box supplier should prepare cartons and delivery notes.
If the packaging uses inserts, confirm the product arrangement before artwork. A small insert change can change the box size and carton volume.
Before bulk production
Ask your team or logistics provider to confirm label needs before the packaging is printed. Barcode and FNSKU space should be reserved early, even if the final label file is not ready yet.
For products that may be liquid, powder, battery-related, magnetic, fragile or regulated, raise the issue before packing. The freight route may need extra notes or documents.
